Second was founded in 2000 by Eric Wazana.

After running his own clothing boutique in the United States Eric felt that the "real customer" was being ignored. They were always forced to make a choice between; style, price and quality, never being able to choose all three. Eric who always had a passion for denim and a flare for fashion returned to Montreal to start up Second. He had a vision to create a denim company for the "real people" who were always being ignored. With this, Second's goals were created to offer a fashionable quality product, produced in North America at a reasonable price. Known never to compromise any of these fundamental values Second is a promising and sought after brand. It has grown from a small women's denim line to a complete collection that includes; tops, dresses, jackets, suits, basic and fashion denim. Now readily available in the hottest boutiques across Canada and the United States, Second is selling out in Japan and is looking forward to entering the U.K. in 2007. Each season brings more recognition from world renowned press and everyone is eager to see what is next to come from Second.

Second is well-known for quality and design, sourcing the finest mills in Italy, Japan, Spain and the Americas. Made of the highest quality, Second's products consist of a wide variety of 9oz to 14oz denims. Fabrics include 3 by 1 right-hand twills in the finest ring spun. Every pair of jeans is sewn with cotton-wrapped polyester thread to ensure durability and capacity to withstand Second's distressing procedures. All designs, production, washing and finishing are done in Montréal, Canada.
